Click Test: How Fast Can You Click?

Last updated: October 2026

A click test counts how many times you can click your mouse (or tap the screen) in a set time, then turns that count into a clicks-per-second score. Run the tool here, then open any related mouse or click page — new ones show up in the list below automatically.

  • Mouse or phone
  • 1 to 100 seconds
  • No sign-up
  • Related tests auto-listed

How to take this click test

  1. Pick a length. Five seconds is the fairest default.
  2. Click inside the box. Your first click starts the timer.
  3. Keep clicking until time runs out. Clicks outside the box do not count.
  4. Read your CPS, total clicks, and best score for that length.
  5. Try a related test below if you want a different button, technique, or timer.

Sit the way you normally play, use your usual mouse, and do two warm-up runs. The first attempt is almost always the slowest.

What a good click test score looks like

Most people land between 5 and 8 CPS on a 5-second click test. Over 10 usually needs jitter clicking, and 14+ is typically butterfly clicking.

CPSRank
Under 6Casual / everyday mouse use
6 to 7.9Solid gamer average
8 to 9.9Fast with normal clicking
10 to 13.9Very fast (often jitter)
14+Elite technique or a double-clicking mouse

Click test FAQ

Is a click test the same as a CPS test?

Yes. Click test, click speed test, and CPS test all measure clicks per second. This page runs the same timed mouse tool as the homepage CPS test, then lists related click and mouse pages in one place.

Does this click test work on a phone?

Yes. Tap the pad instead of using a mouse. Phone scores are usually different from mouse scores, so keep those results separate if you are tracking progress.

Where did the other click tests go?

They are in the Related click tests list at the bottom of this page. Right click, double click, Kohi, drag, jitter, butterfly, and clicks per minute all show there, along with any new mouse or click page published later.

How do I add a new test so it shows here?

Publish a WordPress page whose title or URL includes words like click, CPS, mouse, jitter, butterfly, Kohi, drag, or CPM. This list reads published pages and picks those up on its own.
